The catalogue was the site. It just wasn't on it.

Elektro Tech is a master workshop that repairs automotive control units — engine control units, gearbox electronics, ABS modules, instrument clusters — for more than seventy vehicle brands. Most customers never visit. They take the part out, post it in, and get a quote before any work starts.
The old site ranked, but for very little. People search for a specific part number, or a specific component on a specific brand, and the site had no page that answered either. The knowledge was all in the workshop's catalogue, and none of it was on the web. Any rebuild also had to avoid losing the rankings they already had.
The full catalogue — 36,814 parts — each with its own page, so a customer searching for a part number lands on the part.
Landing pages generated for every brand and component combination, because that is how people search: a BMW engine control unit, not a control unit in general.
A part finder on the homepage — brand, component, part number — and a phone number in every header. For a mail-in repair shop, those two are the product.
German and English, each a proper version of the site rather than a translate button. Every old address redirects one-to-one to its new page, so existing rankings carry over rather than starting again.
An admin panel where the workshop edits its own pages, brands and parts without calling us.
